EXPLORE-A-THON 2016
A magical day of interactive play, discovery, and exploration for children and their adults!
Saturday, October 22, 10am - 4pm

A day-long event featuring storytelling, music, movement, science, art, and crafts set up at Exploration Stations throughout the Museum.  Visitors are invited to follow an interactive path of Exploration Stations that winds through the Boardwalk Galleries of the Museum and behind the scenes into the as-yet unfinished 22,000 square foot space of the Museum’s historic landmark site. 
This event is included with Museum admission and free to Members

Activities include:

KEVA Plank building competitions…Shadow Theater…Storytelling…Little Bits Circuitry…Artist Workshops…Musical Performances…Yarn Sculpture…
Clay Building…Art with the Environment…
Dance and Movement

The Loukoumi Foundation will be on hand to celebrate “Make a Difference Day” and dedicate the Loukoumi Reading Nook at the Westchester Children’s Museum.

Explore-a-thon combines original activities developed by Westchester Children’s Museum educators as well as programs developed in partnership with local arts and science organizations, Westchester musicians and artists, including: Clay Arts Center, Curious on the Hudson, musician Graham Clarke, Groove, Edith Read Wildlife Sanctuary, artist Adam Handler,  Barefoot Books, Rye Arts Center, and Songs for Seeds.
