The Museum provides an interatictive, unique site for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) enrichment and play-based experience learning. Our school field trips promote inquiry-based learning and creative thinking with guided standards-based exploration of the exhibits. Activities in our 6,500 square feet of interactive galleries can range from the physics of rollercoaster design to the many STEAM challenges of our Maker Spaces.
Schools groups are invited to visit the Museum with prior reservations on Mondays and Tuesdays when the Museum is closed to the general public.
School Group Field Trips- Mondays and Tuesdays only- can include one or all of the following:
- 90 min. guided tour of the Museum Gallery Exhibits (60 Minute “express” tour available for some Pre-Schools based on size and time)
- Learning Experience Challenge in each exhibit.
- 30-45 min. educational “add-on” programs. Offered in our classroom with Stem/Steam themes and take-home projects. (additional fee)
- Set up of dining area for lunch. Students bring their own lunches - (additional fee)

MUSEUM EXPERIENCE GROUP VISITS
Large groups, such as community organizations, camps, Newcomer Clubs, synagogues and church youth groups, etc. are invited to make the Westchester Children’s Museum their outreach field trip resource.
Self -guided or educator guided tours are available with the same options as above.
Large groups are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays when the Museum is closed to the public in order to provide you with exclusive use of the Museum
