Young Discoverers

In this session, children will inspect the inside of a pumpkin and learn the parts of a plant (Botany) Stem, skin, pulp, seeds, etc.  Children will hear the story – SEED, SPROUT, PUMPKIN, PIE by Jill Essbaum. After learning and singing our Pumpkin Song Everyone will have the opportunity to do a cutting and pasting activity that will show the order of the growth cycle as well as retrieving pumpkin seeds from inside the pumpkin to take home and plant!

A weekly science-based "drop-in" program designed for children 2-5 Simple experiments and craft projects all add to the excitement of learning something new. Every month will feature a new theme
