WHAT IS A FOUNDING FAMILY?
The donors to the Founding Family program enabled the Westchester Children's Museum to grow from an idea around a kitchen table to a fully operational museum that opened its first phase to the public in April 2016. The Founding Family donors, comprised of families, parents, grandparents, organizations, and businesses from all over Westchester and Fairfield Counties and beyond, were resolute in their belief that our children deserve a children's museum of their own in their own community, and more importantly, that children in communities of need should benefit from the same out of school learning opportunities that this welcoming vibrant learning center provides.
The names of all Founding Family donors - those who contributed $5,000 or more to the Campaign for the Westchester Children's Museum through April 2016- will be prominently displayed in the Museum on the “Donor Wall” in perpetuity, which will be unveiled in Fall 2016.
