A couple of hibernating bear cubs were woken up from their nap!

A couple of hibernating bear cubs were woken up from their nap!

Children will become Jr. ornithologists and zoologists and share what they know about what birds and bears do in the winter.  We will examine real seagull, crow and peacock feathers and introduce new vocabulary words ie: migrate, hibernate and shelter.   We will go into our own make believe cave and hibernate – then hear the Story  OLD BEAR  by Kevin Henkes .  Before we leave everyone will make a bird picture to take home – decorated with real feathers!!

A weekly science-based "drop-in" program designed for children 2-5 Simple experiments and craft projects all add to the excitement of learning something new. Every month will feature a new theme
