Children will hear the story  The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle.   We will play a sequencing game with large story boards – all while learning about the transformation of a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. What is a cocoon? What is the caterpillar doing in there?  Is it still a caterpillar when it comes out? 

Finally let’s construct our own caterpillars to take home!
