Host Your Private Event at the Westchester Children's Museum
Need a unique space for your next event or production? The Museum offers 20,000 sq. ft. of flexible space, flooded with natural light at Playland Park Beach in Rye. The property features charming Victorian architecture in a vintage bathhouse plus modern gallery space, which can be used with exhibits in place or cleared out.
Everything [about our event] exceeded our expectations. The event was wonderful, the space was ideal, and the participants had an amazing evening. I would like to give a huge commendation to Esther and the two young people [Alex & Sam] you had working last night. They were kind, friendly, assisted with everything and jumped to assist without even being asked. I really cannot express more how wonderful and supportive everyone from the museum was during the entire event. I look forward to working with you on future events. Robin, Executive Director, Yes She Can Inc.
See How Our Space Transforms for Your Event
Flexible Event Space | Beachfront Location
Our gallery doors open to the boardwalk, making it possible to start your event outside for cocktails, move into our front galleries, and then into our main space for the rest of the evening. Although the Museum is an open space, archways and nooks can create natural separations for culinary setup, a "green room," and more. We also offer an enclosed cafe and 600 square feet of raw space, which can be used for a conference room, dining, staging area, and more.
Unique Venue for Kid-Friendly | Adult-Only Events
The space can be made kid-friendly or adult-only, depending on your needs. There are many galleries that are perfect for hosting events, galas, fundraisers, or conferences, and intimate spaces for music, storytime, or educational events. We can also clear the Museum to offer you and your event planner a blank canvas to reimagine.
Versatile Space Perfect for TV | Film | Photography Shoots
TV, film, and photography shoots can take advantage of the stunning views, natural light, and vast open space. The galleries can be used as is, with exhibits in place or cleared to provide raw space.
