EXPLORING ART THROUGH THE ARTISTS: Tony Wilkinson

NEW SERIES!
Each month, we will travel around the world to explore past and current artists, their works, and unique styles. Our special program will include hands-on art making in the style of the featured artist. Expect a lot of color, imagination, and surprises as we create our own masterpieces!

All ages welcome, included with Museum admission.

About the Workshop:
Butterflies with Tony Wilkinson

Winter can feel a little bleak and dreary, so American Painter Tony Wilkinson decided it would be lovely to brighten the day with beautiful butterflies. With each painting he creates, he likes to uplift spirits, and he hopes that these lighter-than-air creatures will bring the same joy. He will show us how to make decorative butterflies with contrasting bright colors against stark backgrounds papers, bobby pins, patterns, shapes, and as much imagination as possible! The artists-in-training will get to express themselves by decorating the wings and constructing these playful ornaments for display or apparel.
